I know! They don?t even fit on my dolls feet! So this is what we?re paying for now?
Is it me or is anyone else hating the new shoes....I find it very difficult to pose my dolls with the new shoes...the heels are adorable but the doll has to stand at a very funny angle to make her stand..The backless shoes are for every falling off....why cant they go back to real doll shoes...

I know what ya mean about the little heals on some of the shoes.. unfortunately, this is because our dollies are flat footed and since they have no arch to their feet, that is the way the shoes have to be made.. [img]frown.gif[/img] I love the way they look but I agree, they dont stand at all with them on.. I have to put my Nellie on a stand when she wears her spring dress and those sweet little dressy shoes it came with..

hmmmmm yeah the kicking back sandals never stay on Violet's feet. I don't have a lot of the new shoes, but the black zip ankle boots I have no problem with those. [img]graemlins/thinking.gif[/img] Haven't tried the sneakers that go with the meet outfit. And then the shoes with Felicity's tea gown are just weird. I have issues with those shoes, like for the fact she can't wear her socks with them. [img]graemlins/whatever.gif[/img] And they don't cover all of her heel.
The only ones I have (that I can think of right now) that have a bit of trouble staying on are the little denim sandles that come with Coconut's BF outfit. They stay on fine when the doll is just standing, but if you pick her up or try to sit her in your lap they slip off pretty easy.
They are some of the cutest dollie shoes IMO, though.
For sandals and backless shoes, it really helps if you use clear plastic hair bands to hold the shoes on the doll's feet. Kailey arrived from AG with her sandals held on this way, and it worked so well I bought a package to use on all the backless shoes. You slip the band over the front of the shoe so it hides under the doll's toes, then stretch it back along the sides of her foot and over her heel. Hopefully that makes sense. You have have to get pretty rough with the doll to make her shoes fall off with the bands on!
Unfortunately there's no cure for those heeled shoes that I know of...it's impossible to make a doll stand normally by herself in those things! [img]eek.gif[/img]
I believe the ones you are talking about are the ones with angled heels; like the AGT Flapper outfit shoes and Samantha's Beige Lawn Garden shoes.
I think AG has licked the problem with backless shoes by having that clear strap that is on Jess's sandals. I wish all the backless shoes and houseshoes/slippers had that clear strap attached at the back.
I fold/double a piece of clear tape on with the sticky side out and put it on the bottoms of my dollies backless shoes and slippers. The shoes now stay on! HA! [img]wink.gif[/img]

You can actually buy the same kind of clear elastic that AG uses on Jess's sandals. I had some on hand and fixed a pair of backless shoes that we had that wouldn't stay on. Just hand sew it on and it works beautifully. Buy it in fabric stores. it is called clear elastic!

I just twist it around the ankle and then the upper of the foot.. works good for me.. you have to kinda play with how your twist it over the shoe .. but it works.. I used to do this with Barbies to get their shoes to stay on their feet too.. Now what to do about AG making shoes too small to even get on the doll's feet?
My favorite shoes are the ones that come with Kit's school outfit. The other dolls like them so much that poor Kit can never wear her own shoes. Since I am such a good mommy, I ordered two extra pairs from replacement parts. Unfortunately all four shoes are SO tiny that they don't even come close to going on. I felt like the prince in Cinderella trying to jam a too small shoe on to a too large foot. My poor dolls did not enjoy the role of the ugly stepsisters. [img]tongue.gif[/img]
